Hi! My name is Brenda. As you all undoubtedly know, I love working with children. It gives me the wonderful opportunity to assist parents with the development of their children. In 1987, I began teaching at Framingham Extended Day program-a school age enrichment program. I stayed there for eight wonderful years. I also taught for the Framingham Elementary Summer scene program, affiliated with the Framingham Public Schools. I received my B.A. from Framingham State University. Upon graduation, I returned to the Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program. I did my teaching practicum at the Juniper Hill School in Framingham. I worked for the Afterschool, Inc. in Framingham for three years. I began as the Lead Teacher, then Site Coordinator, and then was promoted to Program Director. I was given yet another wonderful opportunity to run Afterschool, Inc. as Director for both the Framingham and Sudbury programs. I chose to come to Over the Rainbow with my oldest son in December 1999. I was a board member for the Metro West Association for the Education of Young Children (MAEYC), a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and a member of the National Coalition for Education and Cultural Programs (NCECP). I absolutely adore being here. When my children were young, I had the wonderful opportunity to do what I enjoy most, while having them attend my program.
